What does it mean to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

A-Admit

Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."    -Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."   -Romans 6:23

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  -1 John 1:9

B-Believe

Believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son and accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"           -John 3:16

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.."       -Ephesians 2:8-9

C-Confess

Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."   -Romans 10:9-10, 13

Ask God to forgive you of your sins and He will.  Then commit yourself to learning about Him and serving Him in a Bible-believing church like Caribou United Baptist.
